God Save The Queen Scarf
We were supposed to catch a flight to Paris that evening, and the news of Queen Elizabeth in serious health bounced through all the world's leading news outlets. At the news of her death I - who have always had a strong sympathy, almost a veneration, for the Queen - was not very well affected.
Elizabeth has been a daughter, a woman, a mother, a grandmother, a leader, a fashion icon, a muse for great bands, a pop star. She has been the queen of us all.
We thought we would pay tribute to her with a drawing done in watercolor by Giulia Cerini, a talented designer and illustrator who listened to us and was able to interpret our idea in the best possible way.
The subject of this design are three corgis, the Queen's favorite dogs and great companions on adventures, and the illustration was printed by a Como silk mill on a scarf. We felt it was the best idea to pay tribute to her.
